Wet Scrubbers

The term "Wet Air Treatment System" is used because we use water or liquid sprayed from above to change the airflow direction from bottom to top. In the past, it was widely used for dust, odor, and smoke capture because it was cost-effective and easy to maintain. However, the drawback is the management of wastewater and sludge generated by the system. When water droplets come into contact with dust, they turn into liquid sludge, while gases dissolved in water can become acidic or alkaline. The water circulating in the system must be discharged when it reaches saturation and replaced with fresh water. If there is a wastewater treatment tank, the water is discharged into the tank for treatment to meet regulatory standards.
